PVR Share Price Down by 6%; BSE 500 Index Down 2.8%

PVR share price has plunged 6% and is presently trading at Rs 1,407.

Meanwhile, the BSE 500 Index is at 19,801 (down 2.8%).

Among the top losers in the BSE 500 Index today are PVR (down 5.9%) and BAJAJ FINSERV (down 5.0%).

RCF (up 13.9%) and GSK CONSUMER (up 5.1%) are among the top gainers today.

Over the last one year, PVR has moved down from Rs 2,009 to Rs 1,407, registering a loss of Rs 602 (down 30.0%)..

The BSE 500 has moved up from 15,469 to 19,801, registering a gain of 4,332 points (up 28.0%) during the last 12 months.

The top buzzing stocks among the BSE 500 Index stocks during this same period were ADANI GREEN ENERGY (up 501.6%), DIXON TECHNOLOGIES (up 379.2%) and HINDUSTAN COPPER (up 319.1%).

What About the Benchmark Indices?

The BSE Sensex is at 50,400 (down 3.3%). The top gainers among the BSE Sensex stocks today are SUN PHARMA (up 0.1%). The most traded stocks in the BSE Sensex are SUN PHARMA.

In the meantime, NSE Nifty is at 14,919 (down 3.2%). SUN PHARMA (up 0.3%) and DR. REDDYS LAB (up 0.1%) are among the top gainers in NSE Nifty.

Over the last 12 months, the BSE Sensex has moved up from 40,363 to 50,400, registering a gain of 10,037 points (up 22.31%).

PVR Financial Update...

PVR net profit down at Rs 492 million for the quarter ended December 2020, compared to a loss of Rs 365 million a year ago. Net Sales declined 95.0% to Rs 454.0 million during the period as against Rs 9.2 billion in October-December 2019.

For the year ended March 2019, PVR reported 52.0% increase in net profit to Rs 1.9 billion compared to net profit of Rs 1.3 billion during FY18.

Revenue of the company grew 32.2% to Rs 31 billion during FY19.

The current Price to earnings ratio of PVR, based on rolling 12 month earnings, stands at down 11.7x.
