RITES share price has zoomed 15% and is presently trading at Rs 234.2.

Meanwhile, the BSE CAPITAL GOODS index is at 81,050.7 (down 0.4%).

Among the top gainers in the BSE CAPITAL GOODS index today are ADANI GREEN ENERGY (up 2.8%) and GMR Infra (up 1.7%).

Finolex Cables (down 3.3%) and Bharat Forge (down 2.3%) are among the top losers today.

Over the last one year, RITES has moved down from Rs 280.0 to Rs 234.2, registering a loss of Rs 45.8 (down 16.4%).

On the other hand, the BSE CAPITAL GOODS index has moved up from 72,332.8 to 81,050.7, registering a gain of 12.1% during the last 12 months.

The top gainers among the BSE CAPITAL GOODS index stocks during this same period were Bharat Forge (up 60.2%), BHEL (up 55.9%) and AIA Engineering (up 51.2%).

What About the Benchmark Indices?

The BSE Sensex is at 77,034.7 (up 0.7%).

The top gainers among the BSE Sensex today are Eternal Ltd (up 3.9%) and Asian Paints (up 3.1%). The most traded stocks in the BSE Sensex are Eternal Ltd and Kotak Bank.

In the meantime, NSE Nifty is at 24,024.9 (up 0.7%). Eternal Ltd and Asian Paints are among the top gainers in NSE NIFTY.

Over the last 12 months, the BSE Sensex has moved down from 83,606.5 to 77,034.7, registering a loss of 6,571.8 points (down 7.9%).

RITES Financial Update...

RITES net profit fell 1.7% YoY to Rs 1,353 million for the quarter ended March 2026, compared to a profit of Rs 1,376 million a year ago. Net sales rose 27.6% to Rs 7,683 million during the period as against Rs 6,023 million in January-March 2025.

For the year ended March 2025, RITES reported 14.4% decrease in net profit to Rs 4,237 million compared to net profit of Rs 4,952 million during FY24. Revenue of the company fell 9.9% to Rs 18,545 million during FY25.

The current Price to earnings ratio of RITES, based on rolling 12 month earnings, stands at 25.6.
