Reliance Power Gains 12%; BSE POWER Index Up 2.7%

Meanwhile, the BSE POWER index is at 7,551.8 (up 2.7%).
Among the top gainers in the BSE POWER index today are Thermax (up 5.0%) and Siemens (up 4.6%).
Over the last one year, Reliance Power has moved down from Rs 40.0 to Rs 29.1, registering a loss of Rs 10.9 (down 27.3%).
On the other hand, the BSE POWER index has moved up from 6,514.2 to 7,551.8, registering a gain of 15.9% during the last 12 months.
The top gainers among the BSE POWER index stocks during this same period were ADANI POWER (up 78.1%), ADANI ENERGY SOLUTIONS (up 40.1%) and BHEL (up 38.9%).

What About the Benchmark Indices?
The BSE Sensex is at 78,052.3 (up 1.6%).
The top gainers among the BSE Sensex today are Eternal Ltd (up 3.8%) and Tata Motors (up 3.7%). The most traded stocks in the BSE Sensex are Tata Steel and Eternal Ltd.
In the meantime, NSE Nifty is at 24,217.1 (up 1.6%). Eternal Ltd and Tata Motors are among the top gainers in NSE NIFTY.
Over the last 12 months, the BSE Sensex has moved up from 75,157.3 to 78,052.3, registering a gain of 2,895.0 points (up 3.9%).
Reliance Power Financial Update...
Reliance Power net profit fell 40.1% YoY to Rs 251 million for the quarter ended December 2025, compared to a profit of Rs 420 million a year ago. Net sales rose 1.1% to Rs 18,728 million during the period as against Rs 18,528 million in October-December 2024.
For the year ended March 2025, Reliance Power reported 231.5% increase in net profit to Rs 29,474 million compared to net loss of Rs 22,422 million during FY24. Revenue of the company fell 3.9% to Rs 75,829 million during FY25.
The current Price to earnings ratio of Reliance Power, based on rolling 12 month earnings, stands at 42.6.
