Reliance Power Gains 6%; BSE POWER Index Up 2.4%

Reliance Power share price has zoomed 6% and is presently trading at Rs 46.3.

Meanwhile, the BSE POWER index is at 6,990.5 (up 2.4%).

Among the top gainers in the BSE POWER index today are ADANI GREEN ENERGY (up 10.8%) and ADANI ENERGY SOLUTIONS (up 4.8%).

KEC INTERNATIONAL (down 0.5%) and Thermax (down 0.2%) are among the top losers today.

Over the last one year, Reliance Power has moved up from Rs 41.5 to Rs 46.3, registering a gain of Rs 4.9 (up 11.8%).

On the other hand, the BSE POWER index has moved down from 7,768.0 to 6,990.5, registering a loss of 10.0% during the last 12 months.

The top losers among the BSE POWER index stocks during this same period were Siemens (down 53.3%), Thermax (down 39.1%) and ADANI GREEN ENERGY (down 31.0%).

What About the Benchmark Indices?

The BSE Sensex is at 84,946.0 (up 0.4%).

The top gainers among the BSE Sensex today are Power Grid Corp. (up 2.5%) and MUNDRA PORT & SEZ (up 2.2%). The most traded stocks in the BSE Sensex are Tata Steel and Axis Bank.

In the meantime, NSE Nifty is at 26,049.6 (up 0.4%). IOC and Adani Enterprises are among the top gainers in NSE NIFTY.

Over the last 12 months, the BSE Sensex has moved up from 80,005.0 to 84,946.0, registering a gain of 4,941.0 points (up 6.2%).

Reliance Power Financial Update...

Reliance Power net profit grew 145.5% YoY to Rs 447 million for the quarter ended June 2025, compared to a loss of Rs 983 million a year ago. Net sales declined 5.4% to Rs 18,856 million during the period as against Rs 19,922 million in April-June 2024.

For the year ended March 2025, Reliance Power reported 231.5% increase in net profit to Rs 29,474 million compared to net loss of Rs 22,422 million during FY24. Revenue of the company fell 3.9% to Rs 75,829 million during FY25.

The current Price to earnings ratio of Reliance Power, based on rolling 12 month earnings, stands at 6.2.
