S.E. Power Plunges 4%; BSE POWER Index Down 0.2%

S.E. Power share price has plunged 4% and is presently trading at Rs 29.1.

Meanwhile, the BSE POWER index is at 6,792.1 (down 0.2%).

Among the top losers in the BSE POWER index today are TORRENT POWER (down 1.8%) and NTPC (down 1.1%).

ADANI POWER (up 3.6%) and Siemens (up 3.1%) are among the top gainers today.

Over the last one year, S.E. Power has moved down from Rs 29.3 to Rs 29.1, registering a loss of Rs 0.3 (down 0.9%).

On the other hand, the BSE POWER index has moved down from 8,636.9 to 6,792.1, registering a loss of 21.4% during the last 12 months.

The top losers among the BSE POWER index stocks during this same period were Siemens (down 56.6%), ADANI GREEN ENERGY (down 43.7%) and Thermax (down 37.7%).

What About the Benchmark Indices?

The BSE Sensex is at 81,783.2 (up 0.7%).

The top gainers among the BSE Sensex today are TCS (up 2.6%) and Tech Mahindra (up 2.5%). The most traded stocks in the BSE Sensex are Tata Steel and SBI.

In the meantime, NSE Nifty is at 25,062.1 (up 0.7%). Shriram Transport and APOLLO HOSPITALS are among the top gainers in NSE NIFTY.

Over the last 12 months, the BSE Sensex has moved down from 84,266.3 to 81,783.2, registering a loss of 2,483.1 points (down 2.9%).

S.E. Power Financial Update...

S.E. Power net profit grew 218.8% YoY to Rs 18 million for the quarter ended June 2025, compared to a loss of Rs 15 million a year ago. Net sales rose 61.8% to Rs 327 million during the period as against Rs 202 million in April-June 2024.

For the year ended March 2025, S.E. Power reported 558.2% increase in net profit to Rs 40 million compared to net loss of Rs 9 million during FY24. Revenue of the company grew 29.7% to Rs 926 million during FY25.

The current Price to earnings ratio of S.E. Power, based on rolling 12 month earnings, stands at 19.3.
