SHRIRAM TRANSPORT Share Price Down by 5%; BSE 500 Index Down 0.6%

SHRIRAM TRANSPORT share price has plunged 5% and is presently trading at Rs 1,181.

Meanwhile, the BSE 500 Index is at 18,692 (down 0.6%).

Among the top losers in the BSE 500 Index today are SHRIRAM TRANSPORT (down 5.2%) and GATEWAY DISTRIPARKS (down 6.7%).

MMTC (up 7.4%) and CYIENT (up 5.6%) are among the top gainers today.

Over the last one year, SHRIRAM TRANSPORT has moved up from Rs 1,047 to Rs 1,181, registering a gain of Rs 134 (up 12.8%)..

The BSE 500 has moved up from 15,797 to 18,692, registering a gain of 2,895 points (up 18.3%) during the last 12 months.

The top buzzing stocks among the BSE 500 Index stocks during this same period were ADANI GREEN ENERGY (up 425.8%), LAURUS LABS (up 371.2%) and DIXON TECHNOLOGIES (up 239.3%).

What About the Benchmark Indices?

The BSE Sensex is at 48,387 (down 0.5%). The top gainers among the BSE Sensex stocks today are TECH MAHINDRA (up 2.0%). The most traded stocks in the BSE Sensex are ITC and L&T.

In the meantime, NSE Nifty is at 14,238 (down 0.6%). WIPRO (up 2.5%) and TECH MAHINDRA (up 2.0%) are among the top gainers in NSE Nifty.

Over the last 12 months, the BSE Sensex has moved up from 41,115 to 48,387, registering a gain of 7,272 points (up 16.97%).

SHRIRAM TRANSPORT Financial Update...

SHRIRAM TRANSPORT net profit down at Rs 7 billion for the quarter ended September 2020, compared to a loss of Rs 9 billion a year ago. Net Sales rose 2.0% to Rs 43.5 billion during the period as against Rs 42.6 billion in July-September 2019.

For the year ended March 2020, SHRIRAM TRANSPORT reported 2.4% decrease in net profit to Rs 25.0 billion compared to net profit of Rs 25.6 billion during FY19.

Revenue of the company grew 5.7% to Rs 163 billion during FY20.

The current Price to earnings ratio of SHRIRAM TRANSPORT, based on rolling 12 month earnings, stands at 12.3x.
