Indian Stock Market Updates January 8, 2021

SOBHA Share Price Up by 6%; BSE REALTY Index Up 1.4%

SOBHA share price has zoomed 6% and is presently trading at Rs 470.

Meanwhile, the BSE REALTY Index is at 2,587 (up 1.4%).

Among the top Gainers in the BSE REALTY Index today are SOBHA (up 6.3%) and PHOENIX MILL (up 5.6%).

GODREJ PROPERTIES (down 0.4%) and INDIABULLS REAL EST (down 2.0%) are among the top losers today.

Over the last one year, SOBHA has moved up from Rs 401 to Rs 470, registering a gain of Rs 69 (up 17.3%).

On the other hand, the BSE REALTY has moved up from 2,232 to 2,587, registering a gain of 355 points (up 15.9%) during the last 12 months.

The top buzzing stocks among the BSE REALTY Index stocks during this same period were GODREJ PROPERTIES (up 56.1%), SOBHA (up 17.3%) and OBEROI REALTY (up 16.4%).

What About the Benchmark Indices?

The BSE Sensex is at 48,504 (up 0.7%).

The top gainers among the BSE Sensex stocks today are SUN PHARMA (up 2.4%), TECH MAHINDRA (up 2.2%) and INFOSYS (up 2.2%). Other gainers include POWER GRID (up 1.7%) and L&T (up 1.6%). The most traded stocks in the BSE Sensex are ONGC and NTPC.

In the meantime, NSE Nifty is at 14,259 (up 0.8%). The top gainers in the NSE Nifty include UPL (up 4.0%), BPCL (up 2.7%) and SUN PHARMA (up 2.3%). Other gainers include INFOSYS (up 2.2%) and EICHER MOTOR (up 2.2%) are among the top gainers in NSE Nifty.

Over the last 12 months, the BSE Sensex has moved up from 40,677 to 48,504, registering a gain of 7,827 points (up 19.10%).

SOBHA Financial Update...

SOBHA net profit down at Rs 66 million for the quarter ended June 2020, compared to a loss of Rs 732 million a year ago. Net Sales declined 60.4% to Rs 3.5 billion during the period as against Rs 8.8 billion in April-June 2019.

For the year ended March 2019, SOBHA reported 36.9% increase in net profit to Rs 3.0 billion compared to net profit of Rs 2.2 billion during FY18.

Revenue of the company grew 23.5% to Rs 34 billion during FY19.

The current Price to earnings ratio of SOBHA, based on rolling 12 month earnings, stands at 22.6x.
