SONATA SOFTWARE at All Time High; BSE IT Index Down 0.3%

SONATA SOFTWARE share price has hit an all-time high at Rs 443 (up 9.3%).

Meanwhile, the BSE IT Index is at 25,611 (down 0.3%).

Among the top gainers in the BSE IT Index today are SONATA SOFTWARE (up 9.3%) and ORACLE FINANCIAL (up 1.2%).

HEXAWARE TECHNOLOGIES and TECH MAHINDRA (down 0.4%) are among the top losers today.

Over the last one year, SONATA SOFTWARE has moved up from Rs 336 to Rs 443, registering a gain of Rs 107 (up 29.7%).

The BSE IT has moved up from 16,465 to 25,611, registering a gain of 9,146 points (up 54.0%) during the last 12 months.

The top gainers among the BSE IT Index stocks during this same period were INTELLECT DESIGN (up 219.0%), TATA ELXSI (up 178.7%) and PERSISTENT SYSTEMS (up 134.4%).

What About the Benchmark Indices?

The BSE Sensex is at 50,986 (down 0.6%). The top gainers among the BSE Sensex stocks today are TATA STEEL (up 2.7%), ONGC (up 2.7%) and HDFC BANK (up 1.8%). Other gainers include ULTRATECH CEMENT (up 1.2%) and KOTAK MAHINDRA BANK (up 1.1%). The most traded stocks in the BSE Sensex are ONGC and TATA STEEL.

In the meantime, NSE Nifty is at 15,010 (down 0.5%). The top gainers in the NSE Nifty include HINDALCO (up 4.9%), JSW STEEL (up 3.3%) and TATA STEEL (up 2.7%). Other gainers include ONGC (up 2.5%) and HDFC BANK (up 1.6%).

Over the last 12 months, the BSE Sensex has moved up from 40,894 to 50,986, registering a gain of 10,092 points (up 23.7%).

SONATA SOFTWARE Financial Update...

SONATA SOFTWARE net profit down at Rs 538 million for the quarter ended December 2020, compared to a loss of Rs 759 million a year ago. Net Sales rose 12.9% to Rs 14.0 billion during the period as against Rs 12.4 billion in October-December 2019.

For the year ended March 2020, SONATA SOFTWARE reported 12.5% increase in net profit to Rs 2.8 billion compared to net profit of Rs 2.5 billion during FY19.

Revenue of the company grew 26.4% to Rs 37 billion during FY20.

The current Price to earnings ratio of SONATA SOFTWARE, based on rolling 12 month earnings, stands at 20.3x.
