Sonata Software Gains 5%; BSE IT Index Up 0.6%

Sonata Software share price has zoomed 5% and is presently trading at Rs 366.5.

Meanwhile, the BSE IT index is at 36,597.8 (up 0.6%).

Among the top gainers in the BSE IT index today are ROUTE MOBILE (up 6.1%) and Birlasoft (up 3.9%).

PERSISTENT SYSTEMS (down 1.0%) and INTELLECT DESIGN (down 0.7%) are among the top losers today.

Over the last one year, Sonata Software has moved down from Rs 639.9 to Rs 366.5, registering a loss of Rs 273.4 (down 42.7%).

On the other hand, the BSE IT index has moved down from 43,218.1 to 36,597.8, registering a loss of 15.3% during the last 12 months.

The top losers among the BSE IT index stocks during this same period were ROUTE MOBILE (down 51.2%), Sonata Software (down 42.7%) and CYIENT (down 36.8%).

What About the Benchmark Indices?

The BSE Sensex is at 84,914.0 (down 0.3%).

The top losers among the BSE Sensex today are Titan (down 2.2%) and NTPC (down 2.1%). The most traded stocks in the BSE Sensex are Power Grid Corp. and Tata Motors.

In the meantime, NSE Nifty is at 25,940.8 (down 0.4%). JSW Steel and Adani Enterprises are among the top losers in NSE NIFTY.

Over the last 12 months, the BSE Sensex has moved up from 80,248.1 to 84,914.0, registering a gain of 4,665.9 points (up 5.8%).

Sonata Software Financial Update...

Sonata Software net profit grew 12.9% YoY to Rs 1,202 million for the quarter ended September 2025, compared to a profit of Rs 1,065 million a year ago. Net sales declined 2.3% to Rs 21,193 million during the period as against Rs 21,698 million in July-September 2024.

For the year ended March 2025, Sonata Software reported 37.7% increase in net profit to Rs 4,247 million compared to net profit of Rs 3,085 million during FY24. Revenue of the company grew 17.9% to Rs 101,573 million during FY25.

The current Price to earnings ratio of Sonata Software, based on rolling 12 month earnings, stands at 23.2.
