UNIVERSAL CABLES share price has zoomed 6% and is presently trading at Rs 1,137.0.

Meanwhile, the BSE POWER index is at 8,288.5 (down 0.4%).

Among the top gainers in the BSE POWER index today are Thermax (up 8.4%) and TORRENT POWER (up 0.5%).

KEC INTERNATIONAL (down 1.1%) and Siemens (down 0.9%) are among the top losers today.

Over the last one year, UNIVERSAL CABLES has moved up from Rs 468.0 to Rs 1,137.0, registering a gain of Rs 669.1 (up 143.0%).

On the other hand, the BSE POWER index has moved up from 6,500.8 to 8,288.5, registering a gain of 27.5% during the last 12 months.

The top gainers among the BSE POWER index stocks during this same period were ADANI POWER (up 113.9%), BHEL (up 86.6%) and ADANI ENERGY SOLUTIONS (up 52.8%).

The top losers among the BSE Sensex today are Axis Bank (down 1.4%) and Ultratech Cement (down 1.4%). The most traded stocks in the BSE Sensex are Eternal Ltd and HDFC Bank.

In the meantime, NSE Nifty is at 24,194.3 (down 0.5%). Coal India and Ultratech Cement are among the top losers in NSE NIFTY.

Over the last 12 months, the BSE Sensex has moved down from 80,641.1 to 77,411.6, registering a loss of 3,229.5 points (down 4.0%).

UNIVERSAL CABLES Financial Update...

UNIVERSAL CABLES net profit grew 177.2% YoY to Rs 187 million for the quarter ended December 2025, compared to a profit of Rs 67 million a year ago. Net sales rose 26.4% to Rs 7,679 million during the period as against Rs 6,075 million in October-December 2024.

For the year ended March 2025, UNIVERSAL CABLES reported 17.4% decrease in net profit to Rs 894 million compared to net profit of Rs 1,082 million during FY24. Revenue of the company grew 19.2% to Rs 24,084 million during FY25.

The current Price to earnings ratio of UNIVERSAL CABLES, based on rolling 12 month earnings, stands at 46.1.
