Unichem Lab Gains 15%; BSE HEALTHCARE Index Up 0.6%

Unichem Lab share price has zoomed 15% and is presently trading at Rs 504.7.

Meanwhile, the BSE HEALTHCARE index is at 47,273.6 (up 0.6%).

Among the top gainers in the BSE HEALTHCARE index today are POLY MEDICURE (up 3.6%) and Torrent Pharma (up 3.0%).

GSK Pharma (down 2.5%) and COHANCE LIFESCIENCES (down 1.8%) are among the top losers today.

Over the last one year, Unichem Lab has moved down from Rs 591.1 to Rs 504.7, registering a loss of Rs 86.4 (down 14.6%).

On the other hand, the BSE HEALTHCARE index has moved up from 43,491.3 to 47,273.6, registering a gain of 8.7% during the last 12 months.

The top gainers among the BSE HEALTHCARE index stocks during this same period were LAURUS LABS (up 109.8%), Torrent Pharma (up 44.5%) and GRANULES INDIA (up 43.4%).

What About the Benchmark Indices?

The BSE Sensex is at 74,251.3 (up 0.4%).

The top gainers among the BSE Sensex today are ICICI Bank (up 2.5%) and Kotak Bank (up 1.6%). The most traded stocks in the BSE Sensex are ICICI Bank and Eternal Ltd.

In the meantime, NSE Nifty is at 23,285.6 (up 0.3%). ICICI Bank and Kotak Bank are among the top gainers in NSE NIFTY.

Over the last 12 months, the BSE Sensex has moved down from 82,445.2 to 74,251.3, registering a loss of 8,193.9 points (down 9.9%).

Unichem Lab Financial Update...

Unichem Lab net profit fell 79.4% YoY to Rs 109 million for the quarter ended March 2026, compared to a profit of Rs 530 million a year ago. Net sales declined 2.1% to Rs 5,751 million during the period as against Rs 5,872 million in January-March 2025.

For the year ended March 2025, Unichem Lab reported 246.7% increase in net profit to Rs 1,375 million compared to net loss of Rs 938 million during FY24. Revenue of the company grew 18.3% to Rs 21,110 million during FY25.

The current Price to earnings ratio of Unichem Lab, based on rolling 12 month earnings, stands at 14.1.
