WHIRLPOOL OF INDIA Share Price Down by 5%; BSE CONSUMER DURABLES Index Down 0.3%

WHIRLPOOL OF INDIA share price has plunged 5% and is presently trading at Rs 2,737.

Meanwhile, the BSE CONSUMER DURABLES Index is at 32,040 (down 0.3%).

Among the top losers in the BSE CONSUMER DURABLES Index today is WHIRLPOOL OF INDIA (down 5.3%).

BAJAJ ELECTRICALS (up 4.7%) and TTK PRESTIGE (up 2.5%) are among the top gainers today.

Over the last one year, WHIRLPOOL OF INDIA has moved up from Rs 2,403 to Rs 2,737, registering a gain of Rs 334 (up 13.9%)..

The BSE CONSUMER DURABLES has moved up from 26,026 to 32,040, registering a gain of 6,014 points (up 23.1%) during the last 12 months.

The top buzzing stocks among the BSE CONSUMER DURABLES Index stocks during this same period were BAJAJ ELECTRICALS (up 110.6%), VOLTAS (up 45.2%) and CROMPTON GREAVES CONSUMER ELEC. (up 42.9%).

What About the Benchmark Indices?

The BSE Sensex is at 50,688 (up 0.7%). The top gainers among the BSE Sensex stocks today are ITC (up 6.0%). The most traded stocks in the BSE Sensex are SBI and ITC.

In the meantime, NSE Nifty is at 14,914 (up 0.7%). ITC (up 6.1%) is among the top gainers in NSE Nifty.

Over the last 12 months, the BSE Sensex has moved up from 39,872 to 50,688, registering a gain of 10,816 points (up 26.89%).

WHIRLPOOL OF INDIA Financial Update...

WHIRLPOOL OF INDIA net profit stood at Rs 1 billion for the quarter ended September 2020, compared to a profit of Rs 732 million a year ago. Net Sales rose 25.8% to Rs 16.0 billion during the period as against Rs 12.7 billion in July-September 2019.

For the year ended March 2019, WHIRLPOOL OF INDIA reported 16.8% increase in net profit to Rs 4.1 billion compared to net profit of Rs 3.5 billion during FY18.

Revenue of the company grew 8.3% to Rs 54 billion during FY19.

The current Price to earnings ratio of WHIRLPOOL OF INDIA, based on rolling 12 month earnings, stands at 101.4x.
