Wockhardt Gains 5%; BSE HEALTHCARE Index Up 0.6%

Wockhardt share price has zoomed 5% and is presently trading at Rs 1,914.6.

Meanwhile, the BSE HEALTHCARE index is at 47,266.4 (up 0.6%).

Among the top gainers in the BSE HEALTHCARE index today are POLY MEDICURE (up 3.6%) and Torrent Pharma (up 3.0%).

GSK Pharma (down 2.5%) and Pfizer (down 1.9%) are among the top losers today.

Over the last one year, Wockhardt has moved up from Rs 1,511.2 to Rs 1,914.6, registering a gain of Rs 403.4 (up 26.7%).

On the other hand, the BSE HEALTHCARE index has moved up from 43,491.3 to 47,266.4, registering a gain of 8.7% during the last 12 months.

The top gainers among the BSE HEALTHCARE index stocks during this same period were LAURUS LABS (up 109.8%), Torrent Pharma (up 44.5%) and GRANULES INDIA (up 43.4%).

What About the Benchmark Indices?

The BSE Sensex is at 74,245.3 (up 0.4%).

The top gainers among the BSE Sensex today are ICICI Bank (up 2.5%) and Kotak Bank (up 1.6%). The most traded stocks in the BSE Sensex are ICICI Bank and Eternal Ltd.

In the meantime, NSE Nifty is at 23,285.6 (up 0.3%). ICICI Bank and Kotak Bank are among the top gainers in NSE NIFTY.

Over the last 12 months, the BSE Sensex has moved down from 82,445.2 to 74,245.3, registering a loss of 8,199.9 points (down 9.9%).

Wockhardt Financial Update...

Wockhardt net profit grew 464.4% YoY to Rs 1,640 million for the quarter ended March 2026, compared to a loss of Rs 450 million a year ago. Net sales rose 29.9% to Rs 9,650 million during the period as against Rs 7,430 million in January-March 2025.

For the year ended March 2025, Wockhardt reported 87.9% increase in net profit to Rs -570 million compared to net loss of Rs 4,720 million during FY24. Revenue of the company grew 7.6% to Rs 30,120 million during FY25.

The current Price to earnings ratio of Wockhardt, based on rolling 12 month earnings, stands at 156.3.
