COX & KINGS Plunges by 6%; BSE 500 Index Down 1.8%

COX & KINGS share price has plunged 6% and is presently trading at Rs 194.

Meanwhile, the BSE 500 Index is at 14,292 (down 1.8%).

Among the top losers in the BSE 500 Index today are COX & KINGS (down 5.6%) and PAGE INDUSTRIES (down 6.4%).

JET AIRWAYS (up 13.0%) and SPICEJET LTD (up 12.1%) are among the top gainers today.

Over the last one year, COX & KINGS has moved down from Rs 278 to Rs 194, registering a loss of Rs 84 (down 30.3%)..

The BSE 500 has moved up from 13,715 to 14,292, registering a gain of 577 points (up 4.2%) during the last 12 months.

The top gainers among the BSE 500 Index stocks during this same period were HEG LTD (up 235.5%), L&T INFOTECH LTD (up 129.4%) and MINDTREE LTD (up 121.9%).

The BSE Sensex is at 35,821 (down 2.0%). The top gainers among the BSE Sensex stocks today are ICICI BANK (up 4.0%), AXIS BANK (up 2.7%) and L&T (up 1.3%). Other gainers include YES BANK (up 1.2%) and TATA STEEL (up 0.6%). The most traded stocks in the BSE Sensex are YES BANK and ICICI BANK.

In the meantime, NSE Nifty is at 10,755 (down 2.1%). ICICI BANK (up 4.7%) and AXIS BANK (up 2.8%) are among the top gainers in NSE Nifty.

Over the last 12 months, the BSE Sensex has moved up from 31,497 to 35,821, registering a gain of 4,324 points (up 12.0%).

COX & KINGS Financial Update...

COX & KINGS net profit stood at Rs 1 billion for the quarter ended June 2018, compared to a profit of Rs 775 million a year ago. Net Sales rose 62.0% to Rs 21.8 billion during the period as against Rs 13.5 billion in April-June 2017.

For the year ended March 2017, COX & KINGS reported 29.6% decrease in net profit to Rs 2.3 billion compared to net profit of Rs 3.3 billion during FY16.

Revenue of the company grew 4.4% to Rs 72 billion during FY17.

The current Price to earnings ratio of COX & KINGS, based on rolling 12 month earnings, stands at 8.1x.
