NHPC LTD Surges by 5%; BSE POWER Index Up 0.5%

NHPC LTD share price has zoomed 5% and is presently trading at Rs 26.

Meanwhile, the BSE POWER Index is at 1,980 (up 0.5%).

Among the top Gainers in the BSE POWER Index today is NHPC LTD (up 5.2%).

BHEL (down 0.3%) and GMR INFRA (down 0.3%) are among the top losers today.

NHPC LTD Financial Update...

NHPC LTD net profit stood at Rs 6 billion for the quarter ended June 2018, compared to a profit of Rs 5 billion a year ago. Net Sales rose 42.1% to Rs 21.3 billion during the period as against Rs 15.0 billion in April-June 2017.

For the year ended March 2018, NHPC LTD reported 26.1% decrease in net profit to Rs 20.4 billion compared to net profit of Rs 27.6 billion during FY17.

Revenue of the company grew 10.1% to Rs 78 billion during FY18.

The current Price to earnings ratio of NHPC LTD, based on rolling 12 month earnings, stands at 13.7x.
