GMR INFRA Plunges by 8%; BSE 500 Index Up 0.1%

GMR INFRA share price has plunged 8% and is presently trading at Rs 15.

Meanwhile, the BSE 500 Index is at 14,375 (up 0.1%).

Among the top losers in the BSE 500 Index today are GMR INFRA (down 7.7%) and IRB INFRA. (down 6.4%).

PETRONET LNG (up 5.1%) and SHRIRAM TRANSPORT FIN. (up 4.1%) are among the top gainers today.

Over the last one year, GMR INFRA has moved down from Rs 20 to Rs 15, registering a loss of Rs 5 (down 25.2%)..

The BSE 500 has moved down from 14,793 to 14,375, loss of 418 points (down 2.8%) during the last 12 months.

The top gainers among the BSE 500 Index stocks during this same period were V-MART RETAIL (up 85.5%), VINATI ORG. (up 82.5%) and BATA INDIA (up 69.2%).

What About the Benchmark Indices?

The BSE Sensex is at 36,688 (up 0.2%). The top gainers among the BSE Sensex stocks today are INDUSIND BANK (up 3.3%). The most traded stocks in the BSE Sensex are AXIS BANK and SBI.

In the meantime, NSE Nifty is at 10,950 (up 0.2%). TITAN COMPANY (up 3.8%) and ZEE ENTERTAINMENT (up 3.2%) are among the top gainers in NSE Nifty.

Over the last 12 months, the BSE Sensex has moved up from 34,757 to 36,688, registering a gain of 1,931 points (up 5.5%).

GMR INFRA Financial Update...

GMR INFRA net profit down at Rs 2 billion for the quarter ended September 2018, compared to a loss of Rs 1 billion a year ago. Net Sales declined 12.6% to Rs 18.1 billion during the period as against Rs 20.7 billion in July-September 2017.

For the year ended March 2018, GMR INFRA reported 266.4% increase in net profit to Rs 6.5 billion compared to net profit of Rs 1.8 billion during FY17.

Revenue of the company grew 8.7% to Rs 87 billion during FY18.

The current Price to earnings ratio of GMR INFRA, based on rolling 12 month earnings, stands at down 10.8x.
