The BSE OIL & GAS Index Down 2% ; HPCL Among Top Losers

The BSE OIL & GAS Index has plunged 2% to 13,125.

Among the top losers in the BSE OIL & GAS Index today are HPCL (down 4.8%), IOC (down 4.2%) and BPCL (down 3.8%). Other losers include ONGC (down 2.1%) and GAIL (down 1.5%).

INDRAPRASTHA GAS (up 1.8%) and PETRONET LNG (up 0.3%) are among the top gainers today.

Over the last one year, the BSE OIL & GAS Index has moved down from 15,584 to 13,125, loss of Rs 2,459 (down 15.8%).

The top losers among the BSE OIL & GAS during this same period were HPCL (down 44.0%), IOC (down 34.1%) and BPCL (down 31.3%).

What about the Benchmark Indices?

Meanwhile, the BSE Sensex has plunged 0.4% to 36,109.

Among the top gainers in the BSE Sensex today are YES BANK (up 21.0%), HERO MOTOCORP (up 2.4%) and INDUSIND BANK (up 1.0%). Other gainers include BAJAJ FINANCE (up 0.6%) and AXIS BANK (up 0.5%).

The most traded stocks in the BSE Sensex are YES BANK and TATA MOTORS.

In the meantime, the NSE Nifty is at 10,793 (down 0.5%).
