THE NEW INDIA ASSURANCE share price has plunged 5% and is presently trading at Rs 196.

Meanwhile, the BSE 500 Index is at 15,037 (up 0.4%).

Among the top losers in the BSE 500 Index today are THE NEW INDIA ASSURANCE (down 5.1%) and TEJAS NETWORKS LTD (down 7.5%).

JM FINANCIAL (up 4.7%) and V GUARD INDUSTRIES (up 3.7%) are among the top gainers today.

Over the last one year, THE NEW INDIA ASSURANCE has moved down from Rs 342 to Rs 196, registering a loss of Rs 146 (down 42.7%)..

The BSE 500 has moved up from 14,498 to 15,037, registering a gain of 539 points (up 3.7%) during the last 12 months.
