The BSE FMCG Index Down 2% ; RUCHI SOYA INDUSTRIES Among Top Losers

The BSE FMCG Index has plunged 2% to 11,848.

Among the top losers in the BSE FMCG Index today are RUCHI SOYA INDUSTRIES (down 5.0%), KWALITY (down 5.0%) and SHREE RENUKA SUGARS (down 4.6%). Other losers include MCLEOD RUSSEL (down 4.4%) and NESTLE (down 4.2%).

DFM FOODS (up 7.7%) and PRABHAT DAIRY (up 5.0%) are among the top gainers today.

In the meantime, the NIFTY FMCG has plunged 1.9% to 30,553.

The top losers in the NIFTY FMCG include REI AGRO LTD. (down 20.0%), GKB OPHTHALMICS (down 4.9%) and MIC ELECTRONICS (down 3.7%). Other losers include K.S.OILS LTD (down 3.5%) and DABUR (down 3.3%).

Over the last one year, the BSE FMCG Index has moved up from 10,468 to 11,848, registering a gain of Rs 1,380 (up 13.2%).

The top losers among the BSE FMCG during this same period were KWALITY (down 93.0%), MANPASAND BEVERAGES (down 68.6%) and PRABHAT DAIRY (down 57.5%).

What about the Benchmark Indices?

Meanwhile, the BSE Sensex has surged 0.6% to 38,255.

Among the top gainers in the BSE Sensex today are ONGC (up 3.4%), TCS (up 2.6%) and NTPC (up 2.5%). Other gainers include POWER GRID (up 2.4%) and SBI (up 2.1%).

The most traded stocks in the BSE Sensex are SBI and ICICI BANK.

In the meantime, the NSE Nifty is at 11,487 (up 0.6%).
