P&G HYGIENE Surges by 6%; BSE FMCG Index Down 0.1%

P&G HYGIENE share price has zoomed 6% and is presently trading at Rs 10,998.

Meanwhile, the BSE FMCG Index is at 11,686 (down 0.1%).

Among the top Gainers in the BSE FMCG Index today are P&G HYGIENE (up 5.6%) and HATSUN AGRO PROD. (up 9.0%).

EMAMI LTD and GODREJ CONSUMER (down 0.2%) are among the top losers today.

Over the last one year, P&G HYGIENE has moved up from Rs 9,264 to Rs 10,998, registering a gain of Rs 1,734 (up 18.7%).

On the other hand, the BSE FMCG has moved up from 10,254 to 11,686, registering a gain of 1,432 points (up 14.0%) during the last 12 months.

The top gainers among the BSE FMCG Index stocks during this same period were BALRAMPUR CHINI (up 53.8%), UNITED BREWERIES (up 41.3%) and GODFREY PHILLIPS (up 38.0%).

The BSE Sensex is at 38,017 (down 0.4%).

The top gainers among the BSE Sensex stocks today are WIPRO (up 0.3%), BHARTI AIRTEL (up 0.3%) and TCS (up 0.1%). Other gainers include M&M (up 0.1%) and BAJAJ AUTO . The most traded stocks in the BSE Sensex are TCS and BAJAJ AUTO.

In the meantime, NSE Nifty is at 11,396 (down 0.5%). WIPRO (up 0.6%) and COAL INDIA (up 0.5%) are among the top gainers in NSE Nifty.

Over the last 12 months, the BSE Sensex has moved up from 33,006 to 38,017, registering a gain of 5,011 points (up 15.2%).

P&G HYGIENE Financial Update...

P&G HYGIENE net profit down at Rs 1 billion for the quarter ended December 2018, compared to a loss of Rs 1 billion a year ago. Net Sales rose 16.2% to Rs 8.2 billion during the period as against Rs 7.0 billion in October-December 2017.

For the year ended June 2018, P&G HYGIENE reported 13.4% decrease in net profit to Rs 3.7 billion compared to net profit of Rs 4.3 billion during FY17.

Revenue of the company grew 1.5% to Rs 25 billion during FY18.

The current Price to earnings ratio of P&G HYGIENE, based on rolling 12 month earnings, stands at 90.1x.
