The BSE OIL & GAS Index Down 2% ; HPCL Among Top Losers

The BSE OIL & GAS Index has plunged 2% to 14,876.

Among the top losers in the BSE OIL & GAS Index today are HPCL (down 5.3%), IOC (down 4.0%) and BPCL (down 3.5%). Other losers include RELIANCE IND. (down 2.7%) and INDRAPRASTHA GAS (down 1.1%).

Over the last one year, the BSE OIL & GAS Index has moved up from 14,617 to 14,876, registering a gain of Rs 259 (up 1.8%).

The top losers among the BSE OIL & GAS during this same period were CASTROL INDIA (down 22.3%), HPCL (down 21.1%) and OIL INDIA (down 18.1%).

What about the Benchmark Indices?

Meanwhile, the BSE Sensex has plunged 0.5% to 39,158.

Among the top gainers in the BSE Sensex today are POWER GRID (up 0.8%), TCS (up 0.8%) and HDFC BANK (up 0.8%). Other gainers include WIPRO (up 0.7%) and INFOSYS (up 0.6%).

The most traded stocks in the BSE Sensex are HDFC BANK and WIPRO.

In the meantime, the NSE Nifty is at 11,727 (down 0.6%).
