VOLTAS Plunges by 6%; BSE CAPITAL GOODS Index Up 0.4%

VOLTAS share price has plunged 6% and is presently trading at Rs 540.

Meanwhile, the BSE CAPITAL GOODS Index is at 17,809 (up 0.4%).

Among the top losers in the BSE CAPITAL GOODS Index today is VOLTAS (down 5.8%).

KALPATARU POWER (up 1.9%) and CG POWER & INDUSTRIAL (up 1.8%) are among the top gainers today.

Over the last one year, VOLTAS has moved down from Rs 614 to Rs 540, registering a loss of Rs 74 (down 12.1%)..

The BSE CAPITAL GOODS has moved down from 19,243 to 17,809, loss of 1,434 points (down 7.5%) during the last 12 months.

VOLTAS Financial Update...

VOLTAS net profit stood at Rs 1 billion for the quarter ended December 2018, compared to a profit of Rs 1 billion a year ago. Net Sales rose 8.5% to Rs 14.9 billion during the period as against Rs 13.7 billion in October-December 2017.

For the year ended March 2018, VOLTAS reported 6.6% increase in net profit to Rs 5.7 billion compared to net profit of Rs 5.4 billion during FY17.

Revenue of the company grew 5.5% to Rs 64 billion during FY18.

The current Price to earnings ratio of VOLTAS, based on rolling 12 month earnings, stands at 29.8x.
