SAIL share price has zoomed 5% and is presently trading at Rs 50.

Meanwhile, the BSE METAL Index is at 10,795 (up 3.1%).

SAIL Financial Update...

SAIL net profit stood at Rs 6 billion for the quarter ended December 2018, compared to a profit of Rs 432 million a year ago. Net Sales rose 3.3% to Rs 158.4 billion during the period as against Rs 153.2 billion in October-December 2017.

For the year ended March 2018, SAIL reported 78.3% decrease in net profit to Rs 5.9 billion compared to net profit of Rs 27.3 billion during FY17.

Revenue of the company grew 18.3% to Rs 590 billion during FY18.

The current Price to earnings ratio of SAIL, based on rolling 12 month earnings, stands at 8.2x.
