HEG Surges by 8%; BSE CAPITAL GOODS Index Up 3.4%

HEG share price has zoomed 8% and is presently trading at Rs 1,762.

Meanwhile, the BSE CAPITAL GOODS Index is at 19,594 (up 3.4%).

Among the top Gainers in the BSE CAPITAL GOODS Index today are HEG (up 8.2%) and GRAPHITE INDIA (up 9.5%).

GE T&D INDIA (down 0.5%) and HAVELLS IND (down 1.3%) are among the top losers today.

Over the last one year, HEG has moved down from Rs 3,427 to Rs 1,762, registering a loss of Rs 1,664 (down 48.7%).

On the other hand, the BSE CAPITAL GOODS has moved up from 18,431 to 19,594, registering a gain of 1,163 points (up 6.2%) during the last 12 months.

The top gainers among the BSE CAPITAL GOODS Index stocks during this same period were HAVELLS IND (up 36.8%), ABB INDIA (up 24.9%) and SIEMENS (up 19.8%).

What About the Benchmark Indices?

The BSE Sensex is at 39,401 (up 1.5%).

The top gainers among the BSE Sensex stocks today are TATA MOTORS (up 4.3%), ICICI BANK (up 4.1%) and L&T (up 4.0%). Other gainers include M&M (up 3.7%) and VEDANTA LTD (up 3.7%). The most traded stocks in the BSE Sensex are YES BANK and SBI.

In the meantime, NSE Nifty is at 11,841 (up 1.5%). ZEE ENTERTAINMENT (up 4.7%) and TATA MOTORS (up 4.3%) are among the top gainers in NSE Nifty.

Over the last 12 months, the BSE Sensex has moved up from 34,345 to 39,401, registering a gain of 5,056 points (up 14.7%).

HEG Financial Update...

HEG net profit down at Rs 5 billion for the quarter ended March 2019, compared to a loss of Rs 9 billion a year ago. Net Sales declined 27.8% to Rs 13.5 billion during the period as against Rs 18.7 billion in January-March 2018.

For the year ended March 2018, HEG reported 2260.8% decrease in net profit to Rs 10.8 billion compared to net loss of Rs 500.0 million during FY17.

Revenue of the company grew 207.8% to Rs 28 billion during FY18.

The current Price to earnings ratio of HEG, based on rolling 12 month earnings, stands at 2.3x.
