THERMAX Surges by 5%; BSE CAPITAL GOODS Index Up 2.6%

THERMAX share price has zoomed 5% and is presently trading at Rs 1,063.

Meanwhile, the BSE CAPITAL GOODS Index is at 20,292 (up 2.6%).

Among the top Gainers in the BSE CAPITAL GOODS Index today are THERMAX (up 5.2%) and ABB INDIA (up 7.3%).

HAVELLS IND (down 0.9%) and CG POWER & INDUSTRIAL (down 3.2%) are among the top losers today.

Over the last one year, THERMAX has moved down from Rs 1,130 to Rs 1,063, registering a loss of Rs 67 (down 5.9%).

On the other hand, the BSE CAPITAL GOODS has moved up from 18,484 to 20,292, registering a gain of 1,808 points (up 9.2%) during the last 12 months.

The top gainers among the BSE CAPITAL GOODS Index stocks during this same period were HAVELLS IND (up 38.0%), ABB INDIA (up 37.4%) and SIEMENS (up 23.1%).

In the meantime, NSE Nifty is at 11,957 (up 0.7%). GRASIM (up 3.5%) and YES BANK (up 3.1%) are among the top gainers in NSE Nifty.

Over the last 12 months, the BSE Sensex has moved up from 34,663 to 39,822, registering a gain of 5,159 points (up 14.7%).

THERMAX Financial Update...

THERMAX net profit stood at Rs 1 billion for the quarter ended March 2019, compared to a profit of Rs 757 million a year ago. Net Sales rose 44.3% to Rs 20.7 billion during the period as against Rs 14.4 billion in January-March 2018.

For the year ended March 2018, THERMAX reported 14.4% decrease in net profit to Rs 2.6 billion compared to net profit of Rs 3.0 billion during FY17.

Revenue of the company grew 2.3% to Rs 45 billion during FY18.

The current Price to earnings ratio of THERMAX, based on rolling 12 month earnings, stands at 38.8x.
