HDIL Plunges by 5%; BSE REALTY Index Down 1.1%

HDIL share price has plunged 5% and is presently trading at Rs 23.

Meanwhile, the BSE REALTY Index is at 2,220 (down 1.1%).

Among the top losers in the BSE REALTY Index today is HDIL (down 5.1%).

PHOENIX MILL (up 2.3%) and MAHINDRA LIFESPACE (up 0.6%) are among the top gainers today.

Over the last one year, HDIL has moved down from Rs 28 to Rs 23, registering a loss of Rs 5 (down 18.1%)..

The BSE REALTY has moved down from 2,254 to 2,220, loss of 34 points (down 1.5%) during the last 12 months.

The top gainers among the BSE REALTY Index stocks during this same period were GODREJ PROPERTIES (up 19.4%), SUNTECK REALTY (up 18.4%) and OBEROI REALTY (up 9.8%).

In the meantime, NSE Nifty is at 12,039 (down 0.2%). ASIAN PAINTS (up 2.9%) is among the top gainers in NSE Nifty.

HDIL Financial Update...

HDIL net profit stood at Rs 197 million for the quarter ended December 2018, compared to a profit of Rs 190 million a year ago. Net Sales rose 124.1% to Rs 2.2 billion during the period as against Rs 991.0 million in October-December 2017.

For the year ended March 2018, HDIL reported 46.5% decrease in net profit to Rs 957.0 million compared to net profit of Rs 1.8 billion during FY17.

Revenue of the company grew 46.4% to Rs 4 billion during FY18.

The current Price to earnings ratio of HDIL, based on rolling 12 month earnings, stands at 9.0x.
