VA TECH WABAG Surges by 5%; BSE CAPITAL GOODS Index Up 0.6%

VA TECH WABAG share price has zoomed 5% and is presently trading at Rs 337.

Meanwhile, the BSE CAPITAL GOODS Index is at 20,235 (up 0.6%).

Among the top Gainers in the BSE CAPITAL GOODS Index today is VA TECH WABAG (up 5.4%).

CARBORUNDUM UNIVERSAL (down 0.1%) and SIEMENS (down 0.3%) are among the top losers today.

Over the last one year, VA TECH WABAG has moved down from Rs 443 to Rs 337, registering a loss of Rs 106 (down 24.0%).

On the other hand, the BSE CAPITAL GOODS has moved up from 18,459 to 20,235, registering a gain of 1,776 points (up 9.1%) during the last 12 months.

VA TECH WABAG Financial Update...

VA TECH WABAG net profit stood at Rs 344 million for the quarter ended March 2019, compared to a profit of Rs 121 million a year ago. Net Sales rose 2.6% to Rs 6.8 billion during the period as against Rs 6.6 billion in January-March 2018.

For the year ended March 2018, VA TECH WABAG reported 14.8% decrease in net profit to Rs 1.4 billion compared to net profit of Rs 1.7 billion during FY17.

Revenue of the company grew 7.8% to Rs 35 billion during FY18.

The current Price to earnings ratio of VA TECH WABAG, based on rolling 12 month earnings, stands at 21.0x.
