KAVERI SEED Plunges by 5%; BSE 500 Index Down 0.9%

KAVERI SEED share price has plunged 5% and is presently trading at Rs 492.

Meanwhile, the BSE 500 Index is at 15,330 (down 0.9%).

Among the top losers in the BSE 500 Index today are KAVERI SEED (down 5.2%) and HIMADRI SPECIALITY CHEMICAL LTD (down 5.7%).

APOLLO TYRES (up 6.4%) and VINATI ORGANICS (up 3.3%) are among the top gainers today.

Over the last one year, KAVERI SEED has moved down from Rs 561 to Rs 492, registering a loss of Rs 69 (down 12.3%)..

The BSE 500 has moved up from 14,836 to 15,330, registering a gain of 494 points (up 3.3%) during the last 12 months.

KAVERI SEED Financial Update...

KAVERI SEED net profit down at Rs 114 million for the quarter ended March 2019, compared to a loss of Rs 36 million a year ago. Net Sales declined 33.4% to Rs 447.0 million during the period as against Rs 672.0 million in January-March 2018.

For the year ended March 2018, KAVERI SEED reported 173.5% increase in net profit to Rs 2.1 billion compared to net profit of Rs 773.0 million during FY17.

Revenue of the company grew 16.0% to Rs 8 billion during FY18.

The current Price to earnings ratio of KAVERI SEED, based on rolling 12 month earnings, stands at 14.5x.
