TATA COFFEE Plunges by 6%; BSE 500 Index Down 0.2%

TATA COFFEE share price has plunged 6% and is presently trading at Rs 82.

Meanwhile, the BSE 500 Index is at 15,254 (down 0.2%).

Among the top losers in the BSE 500 Index today are TATA COFFEE (down 6.5%) and HEG (down 9.2%).

CAPLIN POINT (up 3.5%) and TRENT LTD (up 3.1%) are among the top gainers today.

Over the last one year, TATA COFFEE has moved down from Rs 123 to Rs 82, registering a loss of Rs 40 (down 32.9%)..

TATA COFFEE Financial Update...

TATA COFFEE net profit down at Rs 179 million for the quarter ended March 2019, compared to a loss of Rs 218 million a year ago. Net Sales declined 1.0% to Rs 4.6 billion during the period as against Rs 4.7 billion in January-March 2018.

For the year ended March 2019, TATA COFFEE reported 51.7% decrease in net profit to Rs 956.0 million compared to net profit of Rs 2.0 billion during FY18.

Revenue of the company grew 15.1% to Rs 18 billion during FY19.

The current Price to earnings ratio of TATA COFFEE, based on rolling 12 month earnings, stands at 1.3x.
