SBI at All Time High; BSE BANKEX Index Down 0.4%

SBI share price has hit an all-time high at Rs 365 (up 0.5%).

Meanwhile, the BSE BANKEX Index is at 35,191 (down 0.4%).

Among the top gainers in the BSE BANKEX Index today are SBI (up 0.5%) and BANK OF BARODA (up 1.2%).

KOTAK MAHINDRA BANK (down 0.1%) and AXIS BANK (down 0.1%) are among the top losers today.

Over the last one year, SBI has moved up from Rs 262 to Rs 365, registering a gain of Rs 103 (up 39.0%).

The BSE BANKEX has moved up from 29,309 to 35,191, registering a gain of 5,882 points (up 19.5%) during the last 12 months.

The top gainers among the BSE BANKEX Index stocks during this same period were AXIS BANK (up 57.6%), ICICI BANK (up 56.3%) and SBI (up 39.0%).

SBI Financial Update...

SBI net profit down at Rs 8 billion for the quarter ended March 2019, compared to a loss of Rs 40 billion a year ago. Operating income rose 1.1% to Rs 629.9 billion during the period as against Rs 622.8 billion in January-March 2018.

For the year ended March 2019, SBI reported 173.3% decrease in net profit to Rs 30.7 billion compared to net profit of Rs 41.9 billion during FY18.

Revenue of the company grew 10.6% to Rs 2,533 billion during FY19.

The current Price to earnings ratio of SBI, based on rolling 12 month earnings, stands at 376.6x.
