HERO MOTOCORP Plunges by 5%; BSE AUTO Index Down 3.2%

HERO MOTOCORP share price has plunged 5% and is presently trading at Rs 2,513.

Meanwhile, the BSE AUTO Index is at 17,612 (down 3.2%).

Among the top losers in the BSE AUTO Index today are HERO MOTOCORP (down 5.2%) and MARUTI SUZUKI (down 5.6%).

HERO MOTOCORP Financial Update...

HERO MOTOCORP net profit down at Rs 7 billion for the quarter ended March 2019, compared to a loss of Rs 8 billion a year ago. Net Sales rose 0.3% to Rs 78.9 billion during the period as against Rs 78.6 billion in January-March 2018.

For the year ended March 2019, HERO MOTOCORP reported 7.3% decrease in net profit to Rs 34.1 billion compared to net profit of Rs 36.7 billion during FY18.

Revenue of the company grew 2.6% to Rs 340 billion during FY19.

The current Price to earnings ratio of HERO MOTOCORP, based on rolling 12 month earnings, stands at 14.1x.
