ADANI POWER Surges by 6%; BSE POWER Index Up 1.0%

ADANI POWER share price has zoomed 6% and is presently trading at Rs 66.

Meanwhile, the BSE POWER Index is at 2,032 (up 1.0%).

Among the top Gainers in the BSE POWER Index today is ADANI POWER (up 5.7%).

BHEL (down 0.5%) and KALPATARU POWER (down 0.7%) are among the top losers today.

Over the last one year, ADANI POWER has moved up from Rs 17 to Rs 66, registering a gain of Rs 49 (up 296.1%).

On the other hand, the BSE POWER has moved up from 1,925 to 2,032, registering a gain of 107 points (up 5.5%) during the last 12 months.

ADANI POWER Financial Update...

ADANI POWER net profit declined 153.7% YoY to Rs 6 billion for the quarter ended March 2019, compared to a loss of Rs 12 billion a year ago. Net Sales rose 5.4% to Rs 67.2 billion during the period as against Rs 63.8 billion in January-March 2018.

For the year ended March 2018, ADANI POWER reported 0.3% decrease in net profit to Rs 20.9 billion compared to net profit of Rs 21.0 billion during FY17.

Revenue of the company grew 8.9% to Rs 206 billion during FY18.

The current Price to earnings ratio of ADANI POWER, based on rolling 12 month earnings, stands at down 25.7x.
