THERMAX Plunges by 5%; BSE CAPITAL GOODS Index Down 1.8%

THERMAX share price has plunged 5% and is presently trading at Rs 1,099.

Meanwhile, the BSE CAPITAL GOODS Index is at 17,163 (down 1.8%).

Among the top losers in the BSE CAPITAL GOODS Index today are THERMAX (down 5.0%) and CARBORUNDUM UNIVERSAL (down 7.2%).

SCHAEFFLER INDIA LTD (up 5.6%) and ABB INDIA are among the top gainers today.

Over the last one year, THERMAX has moved down from Rs 1,173 to Rs 1,099, registering a loss of Rs 74 (down 6.3%)..

The BSE CAPITAL GOODS has moved down from 18,180 to 17,163, loss of 1,017 points (down 5.6%) during the last 12 months.

The top gainers among the BSE CAPITAL GOODS Index stocks during this same period were KALPATARU POWER (up 17.4%), HONEYWELL AUTOMATION (up 14.3%) and ABB INDIA (up 12.9%).

THERMAX Financial Update...

THERMAX net profit stood at Rs 1 billion for the quarter ended March 2019, compared to a profit of Rs 757 million a year ago. Net Sales rose 44.3% to Rs 20.7 billion during the period as against Rs 14.4 billion in January-March 2018.

For the year ended March 2018, THERMAX reported 14.4% decrease in net profit to Rs 2.6 billion compared to net profit of Rs 3.0 billion during FY17.

Revenue of the company grew 2.3% to Rs 45 billion during FY18.

The current Price to earnings ratio of THERMAX, based on rolling 12 month earnings, stands at 38.1x.
