SUPREME PETR Plunges by 5%; BSE 500 Index Down 0.6%

SUPREME PETR share price has plunged 5% and is presently trading at Rs 186.

Meanwhile, the BSE 500 Index is at 13,799 (down 0.6%).

Among the top losers in the BSE 500 Index today are SUPREME PETR (down 5.2%) and DILIP BUILDCON LTD (down 5.5%).

PERSISTENT SYSTEMS (up 4.7%) and SOBHA LIMITED (up 3.1%) are among the top gainers today.

SUPREME PETR Financial Update...

SUPREME PETR net profit down at Rs 70 million for the quarter ended September 2000, compared to a loss of Rs 93 million a year ago. Net Sales rose 42.2% to Rs 1.9 billion during the period as against Rs 1.3 billion in July-September 1999.

For the year ended June 2003, SUPREME PETR reported 139.1% decrease in net profit to Rs 126.0 million compared to net loss of Rs 322.0 million during FY02.

Revenue of the company grew 2.6% to Rs 8 billion during FY03.

The current Price to earnings ratio of SUPREME PETR, based on rolling 12 month earnings, stands at 1135.6x.
