DLF Plunges by 5%; BSE REALTY Index Down 1.2%

DLF share price has plunged 5% and is presently trading at Rs 159.

Meanwhile, the BSE REALTY Index is at 1,965 (down 1.2%).

Among the top losers in the BSE REALTY Index today is DLF (down 5.5%).

OBEROI REALTY (up 1.2%) and MAHINDRA LIFESPACE (up 0.6%) are among the top gainers today.

Over the last one year, DLF has moved down from Rs 202 to Rs 159, registering a loss of Rs 43 (down 21.3%)..

The BSE REALTY has moved down from 2,053 to 1,965, loss of 88 points (down 4.3%) during the last 12 months.

The top gainers among the BSE REALTY Index stocks during this same period were GODREJ PROPERTIES (up 29.5%), PRESTIGE ESTATES (up 27.1%) and SOBHA LIMITED (up 21.3%).

What About the Benchmark Indices?

The BSE Sensex is at 36,867 (up 0.3%). The top gainers among the BSE Sensex stocks today are AXIS BANK (up 2.1%). The most traded stocks in the BSE Sensex are TATA MOTORS and COAL INDIA.

In the meantime, NSE Nifty is at 10,907 (up 0.3%). TECH MAHINDRA (up 4.9%) is among the top gainers in NSE Nifty.

Over the last 12 months, the BSE Sensex has moved up from 38,018 to 36,867, registering a gain of -1,151 points (up -3.3%).

DLF Financial Update...

DLF net profit stood at Rs 1 billion for the quarter ended June 2019, compared to a profit of Rs 1 billion a year ago. Net Sales declined 40.0% to Rs 13.3 billion during the period as against Rs 22.2 billion in April-June 2018.

For the year ended March 2018, DLF reported 1305.7% decrease in net profit to Rs 44.7 billion compared to net profit of Rs 3.7 billion during FY17.

Revenue of the company grew 18.4% to Rs 67 billion during FY18.

The current Price to earnings ratio of DLF, based on rolling 12 month earnings, stands at 32.5x.
