GIC HOUSING Plunges by 6%; BSE 500 Index Down 1.5%

GIC HOUSING share price has plunged 6% and is presently trading at Rs 163.

Meanwhile, the BSE 500 Index is at 15,021 (down 1.5%).

Among the top losers in the BSE 500 Index today are GIC HOUSING (down 5.6%) and MARUTI SUZUKI (down 5.3%).

GIC HOUSING Financial Update...

GIC HOUSING net profit down at Rs 350 million for the quarter ended December 2018, compared to a loss of Rs 422 million a year ago. Net Sales rose 8.7% to Rs 3.1 billion during the period as against Rs 2.8 billion in October-December 2017.

For the year ended March 2018, GIC HOUSING reported 24.8% increase in net profit to Rs 1.8 billion compared to net profit of Rs 1.5 billion during FY17.

Revenue of the company grew 12.2% to Rs 11 billion during FY18.

The current Price to earnings ratio of GIC HOUSING, based on rolling 12 month earnings, stands at 4.3x.
