ASAHI INDIA Surges by 10%; BSE 500 Index Up 0.7%

ASAHI INDIA share price has zoomed 10% and is presently trading at Rs 245.

Meanwhile, the BSE 500 Index is at 15,948 (up 0.7%).

Among the top Gainers in the BSE 500 Index today are ASAHI INDIA (up 10.4%) and REDINGTON (up 18.4%).

MAHANAGAR GAS and AMBUJA CEMENT are among the top losers today.

Over the last one year, ASAHI INDIA has moved down from Rs 255 to Rs 245, registering a loss of Rs 10 (down 5.8%).

On the other hand, the BSE 500 has moved up from 14,460 to 15,948, registering a gain of 1,488 points (up 10.2%) during the last 12 months.

The top gainers among the BSE Sensex stocks today are INFOSYS (up 4.7%), INDUSIND BANK (up 3.3%) and COAL INDIA (up 3.0%). Other gainers include BHARTI AIRTEL (up 2.7%) and HUL (up 2.0%). The most traded stocks in the BSE Sensex are HDFC BANK and POWER GRID.

In the meantime, NSE Nifty is at 12,338 (up 0.6%). INFOSYS (up 4.7%) and INDUSIND BANK (up 3.6%) are among the top gainers in NSE Nifty.

Over the last 12 months, the BSE Sensex has moved up from 36,106 to 41,900, registering a gain of 5,794 points (up 15.9%).

ASAHI INDIA Financial Update...

ASAHI INDIA net profit down at Rs 254 million for the quarter ended September 2019, compared to a loss of Rs 522 million a year ago. Net Sales declined 5.3% to Rs 6.5 billion during the period as against Rs 6.8 billion in July-September 2018.

For the year ended March 2019, ASAHI INDIA reported 107.8% increase in net profit to Rs 3.8 billion compared to net profit of Rs 1.8 billion during FY18.

Revenue of the company grew 8.7% to Rs 29 billion during FY19.

The current Price to earnings ratio of ASAHI INDIA, based on rolling 12 month earnings, stands at 37.1x.
