BATA INDIA at All Time High; BSE FMCG Index Up 0.6%

BATA INDIA share price has hit an all-time high at Rs 1,874 (up 0.8%).

Meanwhile, the BSE FMCG Index is at 11,567 (up 0.6%).

Among the top gainers in the BSE FMCG Index today are BATA INDIA (up 0.8%) and GILLETTE INDIA (up 1.6%).

GSK CONSUMER and NESTLE (down 0.1%) are among the top losers today.

Over the last one year, BATA INDIA has moved up from Rs 1,183 to Rs 1,874, registering a gain of Rs 691 (up 57.5%).

The BSE FMCG has moved down from 11,671 to 11,567, loss of 104 points (down 1.2%) during the last 12 months.

The top gainers among the BSE FMCG Index stocks during this same period were AVANTI FEEDS (up 105.1%), TATA GLOBAL (up 88.7%) and NESTLE (up 40.6%).

The BSE Sensex is at 40,336 (up 1.1%). The top gainers among the BSE Sensex stocks today are RELIANCE IND. (up 2.3%), ULTRATECH CEMENT (up 2.1%) and HDFC (up 2.1%). Other gainers include HERO MOTOCORP (up 1.9%) and HDFC BANK (up 1.4%). The most traded stocks in the BSE Sensex are ICICI BANK and SBI.

In the meantime, NSE Nifty is at 11,840 (up 1.1%). The top gainers in the NSE Nifty include BHARTI INFRATEL (up 2.6%), HDFC (up 2.2%) and HERO MOTOCORP (up 2.2%). Other gainers include RELIANCE IND. (up 2.0%) and ULTRATECH CEMENT (up 2.0%).

Over the last 12 months, the BSE Sensex has moved up from 36,583 to 40,336, registering a gain of 3,753 points (up 10.2%).

BATA INDIA Financial Update...

BATA INDIA net profit down at Rs 714 million for the quarter ended September 2019, compared to a loss of Rs 1 billion a year ago. Net Sales declined 7.3% to Rs 7.2 billion during the period as against Rs 7.8 billion in July-September 2018.

For the year ended March 2019, BATA INDIA reported 49.2% increase in net profit to Rs 3.3 billion compared to net profit of Rs 2.2 billion during FY18.

Revenue of the company grew 11.0% to Rs 29 billion during FY19.

The current Price to earnings ratio of BATA INDIA, based on rolling 12 month earnings, stands at 65.9x.
