The BSE FMCG Index Down 2% ; DHAMPUR SUGAR MILLS Among Top Losers

The BSE FMCG Index has plunged 2% to 10,717.

Among the top losers in the BSE FMCG Index today are DHAMPUR SUGAR MILLS (down 11.0%), AVADH SUGAR & ENERGY LTD (down 10.7%) and AVANTI FEEDS (down 9.8%). Other losers include CHAMANLAL SE (down 9.6%) and UTTAM SUGAR (down 9.2%).

RUCHI SOYA INDUSTRIES (up 5.0%) and MCLEOD RUSSEL (up 3.4%) are among the top gainers today.

In the meantime, the NIFTY FMCG has plunged 2.4% to 28,530.

The top losers in the NIFTY FMCG include REI AGRO LTD. (down 20.0%), MIC ELECTRONICS (down 10.0%) and PG ELECTROPLAST (down 5.0%). Other losers include GKB OPHTHALMICS (down 4.9%) and KOKUYO CAMLIN (down 4.7%).

Over the last one year, the BSE FMCG Index has moved down from 11,524 to 10,717, loss of Rs 807 (down 7.0%).

The top losers among the BSE FMCG during this same period were MCLEOD RUSSEL (down 97.0%), MANPASAND BEVERAGES (down 91.6%) and SANWARIA AGRO OILS (down 89.0%).

What about the Benchmark Indices?

Meanwhile, the BSE Sensex has plunged 4.4% to 36,950.


In the meantime, the NSE Nifty is at 10,752 (down 4.1%).
