TITAN Plunges by 10%; BSE 500 Index Down 9.6%

TITAN share price has plunged 10% and is presently trading at Rs 1,058.

Meanwhile, the BSE 500 Index is at 11,966 (down 9.6%).

Among the top losers in the BSE 500 Index today are TITAN (down 9.8%) and HONEYWELL AUTOMATION (down 9.7%).

CG POWER & INDUSTRIAL (up 4.9%) is among the top gainer today.

Over the last one year, TITAN has moved down from Rs 1,083 to Rs 1,058, registering a loss of Rs 25 (down 2.3%)..

The BSE 500 has moved down from 14,949 to 11,966, loss of 2,983 points (down 20.0%) during the last 12 months.

The top gainers among the BSE 500 Index stocks during this same period were ADANI GREEN ENERGY (up 201.9%), NAVIN FLUORINE (up 81.3%) and ABBOTT INDIA (up 70.0%).

What About the Benchmark Indices?

The BSE Sensex is at 31,221 (down 9.4%).

In the meantime, NSE Nifty is at 9,133 (down 10.1%).

Over the last 12 months, the BSE Sensex has moved down from 37,536 to 31,221, registering a loss of 6,315 points (down 20.91%).

TITAN Financial Update...

TITAN net profit stood at Rs 5 billion for the quarter ended December 2019, compared to a profit of Rs 4 billion a year ago. Net Sales rose 11.2% to Rs 65.3 billion during the period as against Rs 58.7 billion in October-December 2018.

For the year ended March 2019, TITAN reported 26.0% increase in net profit to Rs 13.9 billion compared to net profit of Rs 11.0 billion during FY18.

Revenue of the company grew 22.4% to Rs 198 billion during FY19.

The current Price to earnings ratio of TITAN, based on rolling 12 month earnings, stands at 57.5x.
