NOCIL Plunges by 13%; BSE 500 Index Down 9.6%

NOCIL share price has plunged 13% and is presently trading at Rs 74.

Meanwhile, the BSE 500 Index is at 11,966 (down 9.6%).

Among the top losers in the BSE 500 Index today are NOCIL (down 13.0%) and BAJAJ FINSERV (down 12.6%).

CG POWER & INDUSTRIAL (up 4.9%) and GRUH FINANCE (up 3.7%) are among the top gainers today.

Over the last one year, NOCIL has moved down from Rs 141 to Rs 74, registering a loss of Rs 67 (down 47.4%)..

The BSE 500 has moved down from 14,949 to 11,966, loss of 2,983 points (down 20.0%) during the last 12 months.

The top gainers among the BSE 500 Index stocks during this same period were ADANI GREEN ENERGY (up 201.9%), NAVIN FLUORINE (up 81.3%) and ABBOTT INDIA (up 70.0%).

What About the Benchmark Indices?

The BSE Sensex is at 31,221 (down 9.4%).

In the meantime, NSE Nifty is at 9,133 (down 10.1%).

Over the last 12 months, the BSE Sensex has moved down from 37,536 to 31,221, registering a loss of 6,315 points (down 20.91%).

NOCIL Financial Update...

NOCIL net profit down at Rs 207 million for the quarter ended December 2019, compared to a loss of Rs 446 million a year ago. Net Sales declined 25.6% to Rs 1.9 billion during the period as against Rs 2.6 billion in October-December 2018.

For the year ended March 2019, NOCIL reported 8.8% increase in net profit to Rs 1.8 billion compared to net profit of Rs 1.7 billion during FY18.

Revenue of the company grew 5.4% to Rs 10 billion during FY19.

The current Price to earnings ratio of NOCIL, based on rolling 12 month earnings, stands at 7.7x.
