SHREE CEMENT Plunges by 9%; BSE 500 Index Down 9.6%

SHREE CEMENT share price has plunged 9% and is presently trading at Rs 20,500.

Meanwhile, the BSE 500 Index is at 11,966 (down 9.6%).

Among the top losers in the BSE 500 Index today are SHREE CEMENT (down 8.7%) and HONEYWELL AUTOMATION (down 9.7%).

CG POWER & INDUSTRIAL (up 4.9%) is among the top gainer today.

Over the last one year, SHREE CEMENT has moved up from Rs 18,007 to Rs 20,500, registering a gain of Rs 2,493 (up 13.8%)..

The BSE 500 has moved down from 14,949 to 11,966, loss of 2,983 points (down 20.0%) during the last 12 months.

The top gainers among the BSE 500 Index stocks during this same period were ADANI GREEN ENERGY (up 201.9%), NAVIN FLUORINE (up 81.3%) and ABBOTT INDIA (up 70.0%).

SHREE CEMENT Financial Update...

SHREE CEMENT net profit stood at Rs 3 billion for the quarter ended December 2019, compared to a profit of Rs 3 billion a year ago. Net Sales rose 2.4% to Rs 28.5 billion during the period as against Rs 27.8 billion in October-December 2018.

For the year ended March 2019, SHREE CEMENT reported 26.7% decrease in net profit to Rs 10.2 billion compared to net profit of Rs 13.8 billion during FY18.

Revenue of the company grew 23.6% to Rs 126 billion during FY19.

The current Price to earnings ratio of SHREE CEMENT, based on rolling 12 month earnings, stands at 49.6x.
