SKF INDIA Plunges by 9%; BSE 500 Index Down 4.1%

SKF INDIA share price has plunged 9% and is presently trading at Rs 1,650.

Meanwhile, the BSE 500 Index is at 12,042 (down 4.1%).

Among the top losers in the BSE 500 Index today are SKF INDIA (down 8.6%) and SCHAEFFLER INDIA LTD (down 14.9%).

MAX INDIA LTD (up 17.5%) and DCM SHRIRAM (up 16.9%) are among the top gainers today.

Over the last one year, SKF INDIA has moved down from Rs 1,958 to Rs 1,650, registering a loss of Rs 308 (down 15.7%)..

The BSE 500 has moved down from 14,949 to 12,042, loss of 2,907 points (down 19.4%) during the last 12 months.

The top gainers among the BSE 500 Index stocks during this same period were ADANI GREEN ENERGY (up 201.9%), NAVIN FLUORINE (up 93.9%) and ABBOTT INDIA (up 84.8%).

What About the Benchmark Indices?

The BSE Sensex is at 31,878 (down 3.2%). The top gainers among the BSE Sensex stocks today are SUN PHARMA (up 2.0%) and HDFC BANK (up 0.4%). The most traded stocks in the BSE Sensex are HDFC BANK and SUN PHARMA.

In the meantime, NSE Nifty is at 9,444 (down 1.5%). SUN PHARMA (up 3.8%) and HDFC BANK (up 2.5%) are among the top gainers in NSE Nifty.

Over the last 12 months, the BSE Sensex has moved down from 37,536 to 31,878, registering a loss of 5,658 points (down 15.51%).

SKF INDIA Financial Update...

SKF INDIA net profit down at Rs 512 million for the quarter ended December 2019, compared to a loss of Rs 884 million a year ago. Net Sales declined 7.9% to Rs 7.1 billion during the period as against Rs 7.7 billion in October-December 2018.

For the year ended March 2019, SKF INDIA reported 13.5% increase in net profit to Rs 3.4 billion compared to net profit of Rs 3.0 billion during FY18.

Revenue of the company grew 8.2% to Rs 30 billion during FY19.

The current Price to earnings ratio of SKF INDIA, based on rolling 12 month earnings, stands at 26.7x.
