APOLLO TYRES Plunges by 5%; BSE 500 Index Down 4.6%

APOLLO TYRES share price has plunged 5% and is presently trading at Rs 102.

Meanwhile, the BSE 500 Index is at 12,631 (down 4.6%).

Among the top losers in the BSE 500 Index today are APOLLO TYRES (down 5.3%) and MARUTI SUZUKI (down 6.1%).

YES BANK (up 51.1%) and VODAFONE IDEA (up 10.7%) are among the top gainers today.

Over the last one year, APOLLO TYRES has moved down from Rs 225 to Rs 102, registering a loss of Rs 124 (down 54.8%)..

The BSE 500 has moved down from 14,974 to 12,631, loss of 2,343 points (down 15.6%) during the last 12 months.

The top gainers among the BSE 500 Index stocks during this same period were ADANI GREEN ENERGY (up 197.6%), ABBOTT INDIA (up 95.8%) and NAVIN FLUORINE (up 92.0%).

The BSE Sensex is at 33,103 (down 5.1%).

In the meantime, NSE Nifty is at 9,593 (down 4.4%). YES BANK (up 53.0%) and BPCL (up 0.2%) are among the top gainers in NSE Nifty.

Over the last 12 months, the BSE Sensex has moved down from 37,752 to 33,103, registering a loss of 4,649 points (down 14.29%).

APOLLO TYRES Financial Update...

APOLLO TYRES net profit down at Rs 2 billion for the quarter ended December 2019, compared to a loss of Rs 2 billion a year ago. Net Sales declined 6.8% to Rs 44.0 billion during the period as against Rs 47.2 billion in October-December 2018.

For the year ended March 2018, APOLLO TYRES reported 34.2% decrease in net profit to Rs 7.2 billion compared to net profit of Rs 11.0 billion during FY17.

Revenue of the company grew 6.2% to Rs 149 billion during FY18.

The current Price to earnings ratio of APOLLO TYRES, based on rolling 12 month earnings, stands at 11.7x.
