BHARAT ELECTRONICS Surges by 6%; BSE CAPITAL GOODS Index Up 0.8%

BHARAT ELECTRONICS share price has zoomed 6% and is presently trading at Rs 70.

Meanwhile, the BSE CAPITAL GOODS Index is at 13,301 (up 0.8%).

Among the top Gainers in the BSE CAPITAL GOODS Index today are BHARAT ELECTRONICS (up 6.1%) and LAKSHMI MACHINE (up 7.0%).

HONEYWELL AUTOMATION (down 0.5%) and CARBORUNDUM UNIVERSAL (down 2.0%) are among the top losers today.

Over the last one year, BHARAT ELECTRONICS has moved down from Rs 94 to Rs 70, registering a loss of Rs 24 (down 25.9%).

On the other hand, the BSE CAPITAL GOODS has moved down from 18,256 to 13,301, loss of 4,955 points (down 28.8%) during the last 12 months.

In the meantime, NSE Nifty is at 9,404 (up 1.1%). The top gainers in the NSE Nifty include YES BANK (up 57.3%), POWER GRID (up 7.3%) and COAL INDIA (up 6.2%). Other gainers include SUN PHARMA (up 5.6%) and HUL (up 5.5%) are among the top gainers in NSE Nifty.

Over the last 12 months, the BSE Sensex has moved down from 38,095 to 32,048, registering a loss of 6,047 points (down 17.00%).

BHARAT ELECTRONICS Financial Update...

BHARAT ELECTRONICS net profit down at Rs 2 billion for the quarter ended December 2019, compared to a loss of Rs 5 billion a year ago. Net Sales declined 16.4% to Rs 22.7 billion during the period as against Rs 27.2 billion in October-December 2018.

For the year ended March 2019, BHARAT ELECTRONICS reported 31.3% increase in net profit to Rs 18.5 billion compared to net profit of Rs 14.1 billion during FY18.

Revenue of the company grew 16.0% to Rs 122 billion during FY19.

The current Price to earnings ratio of BHARAT ELECTRONICS, based on rolling 12 month earnings, stands at 1.2x.
