TATA CONSUMER PRODUCTS Plunges by 5%; BSE 500 Index Down 1.5%

TATA CONSUMER PRODUCTS share price has plunged 5% and is presently trading at Rs 289.

Meanwhile, the BSE 500 Index is at 11,951 (down 1.5%).

Among the top losers in the BSE 500 Index today are TATA CONSUMER PRODUCTS (down 5.0%) and WABCO INDIA (down 5.2%).

TATA CONSUMER PRODUCTS net profit stood at Rs 1 billion for the quarter ended December 2019, compared to a profit of Rs 1 billion a year ago. Net Sales rose 2.6% to Rs 19.6 billion during the period as against Rs 19.1 billion in October-December 2018.

For the year ended March 2019, TATA CONSUMER PRODUCTS reported 13.8% decrease in net profit to Rs 5.1 billion compared to net profit of Rs 5.9 billion during FY18.

Revenue of the company grew 6.4% to Rs 73 billion during FY19.

The current Price to earnings ratio of TATA CONSUMER PRODUCTS, based on rolling 12 month earnings, stands at 32.3x.
