WOCKHARDT Plunges by 5%; BSE HEALTHCARE Index Down 3.2%

WOCKHARDT share price has plunged 5% and is presently trading at Rs 211.

Meanwhile, the BSE HEALTHCARE Index is at 12,441 (down 3.2%).

Among the top losers in the BSE HEALTHCARE Index today are WOCKHARDT (down 5.4%) and ABBOTT INDIA (down 5.6%).

DR. LAL PATHLABS LTD (up 1.5%) and GLENMARK PHARMA (up 1.1%) are among the top gainers today.

Over the last one year, WOCKHARDT has moved down from Rs 429 to Rs 211, registering a loss of Rs 218 (down 50.8%)..

The BSE HEALTHCARE has moved down from 14,216 to 12,441, loss of 1,775 points (down 12.5%) during the last 12 months.

The top gainers among the BSE HEALTHCARE Index stocks during this same period were ABBOTT INDIA (up 92.1%), J.B.CHEMICALS (up 53.0%) and IPCA LABS (up 47.9%).

WOCKHARDT Financial Update...

WOCKHARDT net profit declined 125.0% YoY to Rs 192 million for the quarter ended December 2019, compared to a loss of Rs 769 million a year ago. Net Sales declined 16.9% to Rs 8.7 billion during the period as against Rs 10.5 billion in October-December 2018.

For the year ended March 2018, WOCKHARDT reported 36.6% increase in net profit to Rs 3.1 billion compared to net profit of Rs 2.3 billion during FY17.

Revenue of the company grew 1.9% to Rs 39 billion during FY18.

The current Price to earnings ratio of WOCKHARDT, based on rolling 12 month earnings, stands at down 17.0x.
