HEG Plunges by 6%; BSE CAPITAL GOODS Index Down 2.0%

HEG share price has plunged 6% and is presently trading at Rs 475.

Meanwhile, the BSE CAPITAL GOODS Index is at 10,322 (down 2.0%).

Among the top losers in the BSE CAPITAL GOODS Index today are HEG (down 6.3%) and SCHAEFFLER INDIA LTD (down 7.2%).

ELGI EQUIPMENTS (up 6.1%) and HONEYWELL AUTOMATION (up 5.5%) are among the top gainers today.

HEG Financial Update...

HEG net profit down at Rs 59 million for the quarter ended December 2019, compared to a loss of Rs 9 billion a year ago. Net Sales declined 78.9% to Rs 3.9 billion during the period as against Rs 18.7 billion in October-December 2018.

For the year ended March 2019, HEG reported 182.1% increase in net profit to Rs 30.5 billion compared to net profit of Rs 10.8 billion during FY18.

Revenue of the company grew 139.0% to Rs 66 billion during FY19.

The current Price to earnings ratio of HEG, based on rolling 12 month earnings, stands at 1.8x.
