HEG Surges by 8%; BSE CAPITAL GOODS Index Up 0.1%

HEG share price has zoomed 8% and is presently trading at Rs 676.

Meanwhile, the BSE CAPITAL GOODS Index is at 11,345 (up 0.1%).

Among the top Gainers in the BSE CAPITAL GOODS Index today is HEG (up 8.4%).

V GUARD INDUSTRIES (down 1.5%) and NBCC (INDIA) LTD (down 1.9%) are among the top losers today.

Over the last one year, HEG has moved down from Rs 2,040 to Rs 676, registering a loss of Rs 1,364 (down 67.3%).

On the other hand, the BSE CAPITAL GOODS has moved down from 18,388 to 11,345, loss of 7,043 points (down 38.9%) during the last 12 months.

The top gainers among the BSE CAPITAL GOODS Index stocks during this same period were HONEYWELL AUTOMATION (up 15.1%) and SIEMENS (up 0.2%).

In the meantime, NSE Nifty is at 9,112 (down 1.3%). The top gainers in the NSE Nifty include BHARTI AIRTEL (up 4.0%), DR. REDDYS LAB (up 2.8%) and CIPLA (up 1.3%). Other gainers include JSW STEEL (up 0.8%) and BHARTI INFRATEL (up 0.8%) are among the top gainers in NSE Nifty.

Over the last 12 months, the BSE Sensex has moved down from 38,939 to 31,196, registering a loss of 7,743 points (down 20.91%).

HEG Financial Update...

HEG net profit down at Rs 59 million for the quarter ended December 2019, compared to a loss of Rs 9 billion a year ago. Net Sales declined 78.9% to Rs 3.9 billion during the period as against Rs 18.7 billion in October-December 2018.

For the year ended March 2019, HEG reported 182.1% increase in net profit to Rs 30.5 billion compared to net profit of Rs 10.8 billion during FY18.

Revenue of the company grew 139.0% to Rs 66 billion during FY19.

The current Price to earnings ratio of HEG, based on rolling 12 month earnings, stands at 2.7x.
