TITAN Plunges by 5%; BSE 500 Index Down 3.9%

TITAN share price has plunged 5% and is presently trading at Rs 945.

Meanwhile, the BSE 500 Index is at 12,422 (down 3.9%).

Among the top losers in the BSE 500 Index today are TITAN (down 5.2%) and BAJAJ AUTO (down 5.6%).

GSK CONSUMER (up 5.1%) and MAHINDRA CIE AUTO. (up 5.0%) are among the top gainers today.

Over the last one year, TITAN has moved down from Rs 1,156 to Rs 945, registering a loss of Rs 211 (down 18.3%)..

The BSE 500 has moved down from 15,294 to 12,422, loss of 2,872 points (down 18.8%) during the last 12 months.

The top gainers among the BSE 500 Index stocks during this same period were ADANI GREEN ENERGY (up 401.1%), ABBOTT INDIA (up 131.4%) and NAVIN FLUORINE (up 130.4%).

The BSE Sensex is at 32,748 (down 4.3%). The top gainers among the BSE Sensex stocks today are SUN PHARMA (up 1.6%). The most traded stocks in the BSE Sensex are SUN PHARMA.

In the meantime, NSE Nifty is at 9,534 (down 4.2%). SUN PHARMA (up 1.6%) and CIPLA (up 0.9%) are among the top gainers in NSE Nifty.

Over the last 12 months, the BSE Sensex has moved down from 39,032 to 32,748, registering a loss of 6,284 points (down 17.31%).

TITAN Financial Update...

TITAN net profit stood at Rs 5 billion for the quarter ended December 2019, compared to a profit of Rs 4 billion a year ago. Net Sales rose 11.2% to Rs 65.3 billion during the period as against Rs 58.7 billion in October-December 2018.

For the year ended March 2019, TITAN reported 26.0% increase in net profit to Rs 13.9 billion compared to net profit of Rs 11.0 billion during FY18.

Revenue of the company grew 22.4% to Rs 198 billion during FY19.

The current Price to earnings ratio of TITAN, based on rolling 12 month earnings, stands at 54.4x.
